1946 Rome, Italy
We are three generations of pizza makers through and through.
As lifelong pizza makers we decided to open our new restaurant, Wicked Pie Pizza in the eclectic downtown neighborhood of Puyallup, Washington.
Rumors began to spread. One person saw a team of masons restoring the original 1900s brick. Another person remarked at the original tin ceilings, which also needed restoration and repair. One reporter wrote a crazy story about an Italian chef from Rome who had immigrated to the US at the behest of a world-famous restaurateur.
Well, all of that was all true! The ceiling above you is the original tin, the building is historic and the great pizza you’re eating originated from that chef that emigrated from Rome, (urged by Vic Rosellini) where he began our family pizza dynasty. The chef was my Grandfather, Italo Carsiello. He came here from Rome, chef’d for 10 years Rosellini’s and saved every penny to open his own restaurant. That was where my family grew up -in his restaurant and that is where we developed our own passions for pizza. And here we are today.
The quality of our pizza means everything to us, and we strive to serve the best just as Grandpa Italo taught us. Our sauce is his own recipe: savory, zesty, and delicious. Our cheese is fresh whole milk mozzarella. Our dough is made daily with artisan flour and tossed by hand. Our drinks are a unique selection of craft beers, wine, spirits, our World-Famous Wicked Mary and a variety of mixed drinks made to order.
